Verizon Wireless expands and cuts price of EV-DO

Verizon Wireless has expanded BroadbandAccess, its name for high-speed EV-DO service. Besides the new market, the price for existing Verizon Wireless voice customers has been cut 25% to $59.99 for unlimited monthly use. Rumors of the price drop leaked out yesterday.

Samsung adds new gigabyte high-speed MMC cards

Verizon expected to reduce EV-DO cost

Reuters is reporting that Verizon Wireless will lower the cost of its unlimited EV-DO 3G data service. The package currently costs $79.99 per month. Sprint Nextel recently launched similar service is select cities for the same $79.99 price point.
