RIM shares sink on RAZRBerry speculation

Amp’d announces Kyocera Jet Multimedia Phone

Amp’d Mobile, a youth oriented MVNO startup, today announced the first phone that it will carry once the service launches later this year. The Kyocera Jet Multimedia Phone is a customized version of the Slider Remix, with one major addition being EV-DO high-speed data.

Cingular to ship RAZRWIRE

Cingular Wireless today announced plans to sell the RAZRWIRE Bluetooth headset that is the combined effort of Motorola and Oakley. RAZRWIRE packages both high-end sunglasses and a Bluetooth headset into one package.
Cingular will begin selling the device in early August, the same time as both Motorola and Oakley. The list price is $294.99.

New York sues three top mobile carriers

The Department of Consumer Affairs in New York City has filed a lawsuit againt Sprint, T-Mobile and Nextel for “deceptive advertising.”
“You can’t promise a great deal in the headline and hide the true costs in the fine print,” the consumer agencies’ Acting Commissioner Jonathan Mintz said in a statement.
