Samsung to show off fewer phones

Samsung A890 shipped to Verizon Wireless

Samsung has announced that it has shipped 20,000 SCH-A890 mobile phones to Verizon Wireless. Features of the Samsung A890 include:

EV-DO high-speed wireless (it will be the third EV-DO handset).

FCC to auction spectrum in 2006

The FCC may auction off more wireless spectrum intended for 3G access as early as 2006.
The bands to be auctioned include 1710-1755 Megahertz and 2110-2155 MHz. The agency said it would try to sell licenses for airwaves in the 1432-1435 MHz band in July or August 2006.

LG F9100 details leak from FCC

Deutsche Telekom rules out T-Mobile merger
