T-Mobile opened its 1,000th retail store in the US today. The pace so far this year has been nearly one store every other day. The new store today is located at 699 Market Street in San Francisco. As part of the opening festivities for the store (one of the larger T-Mobile owned stores in the country), T-Mobile is sponsoring a large bike race in the city of San Francisco. American hero Lance Armstrong will compete with over 120 other professional bike racers.

The BlackBerry 7100t will be shown off at the race.
