All of the Sony Ericsson T610’s that have made it to retail stores so far are plagued with a hiss problem documented by several sources. The company says it has fixed the problem, and if you own one of the phones with the hiss you should return it to Sony Ericsson for repair. According to the company phones currently coming off the assembly line have no hiss–that remains to be seen.

In the USA, the Sony Ericsson T610 will be branded as the T616. The T616 is not currently shipping. Hopefully the hiss problem will be worked out by the time the phones make it across the Atlantic.
