Google Maps recieves an update, makes finding Points of Interests less of a hassle

January 11th, 2009 · Source [Mobile-Review] · 1 Comment

Google’s mobile version of the company’s Maps software has been updated. The new updated version makes searching for various Points of Interests easier than before. This is because, before this updated version, for instance, if you queried, for instance, Burger King, Google Maps would search for an address contaning the term Burger King. However, now, apparently, just keying in the term Burger King, at either the start, or end point, Google Maps will locate actual Burger King stores for you. There’s no need to update your Google Maps mobile application, as Google has operated the changes on its servers and not on the mobile client.
