Verizon Wireless has filed suit against 51 individuals suspected of sending spam SMS messages. Verizon Wireless claims that the defendants sent over 4.7 million unsolicited text messages to its subscribers.
Verizon Wireless has spam blocking software that filters text messages, but about 1 million of the 4.7 still got through. The company continues to block around 50,000 messages a day.
