Garmin’s upcoming Nuvifone, sporting a large touchscreen, and intergrated GPS, was originally slated for release in the second half of this year. However, that is no longer the case, as it has been revealed that it has once again been delayed, this time, it’s been put back until the first half of next year. It seems that the reason isn’t just related to hardware, or software, but rather agreements with network operators.
Also, the company announced that design changes to the Nuifone are taking place too. Of course, as logic dictates, the longer you postpone something, the more time you give the competition to announce, and release a better product, so Garmin had better hope that the Nuvifone isn’t delayed any longer. Of course, it could even be that when a product is delayed, for a set amount of time, it becomes outdated upon eventual release.
