As expected, Sprint Nextel has launched the Samsung M500, which is a continuation on the popular A900. The thin and light feature phone is a bit thicker than the A900, but beats it in all other measurements (weight, width and height).

Features of the Samsung M500 include:

• EV-DO data (PowerVision)
• Bluetooth with stereo A2DP support
• Music player with stereo headset jack
• 1.3 megapixel camera
• microSD card slot
• Speakerphone
• 176 × 220 screen with 262 colors (external screen is 96×96 with 65k colors)

Sprint is selling the M500 for $79.99 after a 2-year contract and a $50 mail-in rebate. It’s available now.
