February 19th, 2008 · Source [Phone Scoop] · No Comments

Samsung U940Documents seen on the FCC site today revealed the Samsung U940. The U940 is a CDMA version of the Ultra Edition F700. It is a sideways slider that has a full QWERTY keyboard, EV-DO data, Bluetooth and memory card slot. The camera has been downgraded from 5 to 2 megapixels, and there is no word if it is still autofucus or not. The documents show Verizon branding on the phone and also mention compatibility with Sprint’s Power Vision services. Neither carrier has officially announced it will carry this device. The GSM version of the phone uses Samsung’s Croix touch interface. This CDMA version could have a different user interface to suit carrier needs.
