We’ve got a little more info on the phone to be used in the next two Matrix movies. First off it’s a Samsung. The first Matrix used Nokia 8110’s, so there is at least a brand change. It still isn’t clear whether these will be the phones used in the matrix or not. They look rugged, so it is quite possible these are used in Zion.

There is a mysterious website set-up by Samsung [whois] thathas a cool Flash movie of the phone. Hopefully there will be more info soon.

Can you think of any other movie that has a website dedicated to the cell phone used in it months before the movie even launches? It’s amazing.

Rumor has it that the phone will launch alongside the movie. I just wish they would release the screen saver for those of us not looking to buy a new phone.
