Details of an unannounced mid-range Samsung clamshell CDMA phone recently surfaced on the FCC web site. The Samsung U550 is presumably a successor to the U540 currently available for Verizon Wireless. The U550 does not have stereo speakers, but otherwise matches its predecessor feature-for-feature, including EVDO data, Bluetooth, microSD card slot, dual color displays, external touch controls, a 2.5mm headset jack, and a camera. The U550 has also received Bluetooth certification, including stereo Bluetooth 2.0.
