Android 1.5 SDK is officially out

April 28th, 2009 · Source [Unwiredview] · No Comments

Android 1.5 SDK CupcakeLess than two weeks after the early-look Android 1.5 SDK was launched, the Android Dev Team has now unleashed the Android 1.5 SDK, release 1.

Also known as Cupcake, the Android 1.5 SDK can be downloaded from here.

Of course, since the SDK is targeted at developers, simple Android users are still not able to upgrade their smartphones to the 1.5 version of the OS.

However, if you’re a lucky owner of an Android Dev Phone 1 (aka ADP1), you can upgrade it to Android 1.5 – just visit HTC’s website to get the new system images.

Android 1.5 OS will probably be released for all Android smartphones in May, one month before Samsung launches the i7500, its very first Android handset.
