The May edition of Wired magazine features a mini-review of the Samsung A800 with a Sprint logo on it. The 2-megapixel camera phone was shown off at CTIA (see MobileTracker’s coverage), but a carrier wasn’t specified. Though magazines sometimes feature phones that never come out as intentioned, as was the case with the NEC 535, it’s often a good indicator.
Wired says that the Samsung A800 has voice-translation technology like the Samsung P207. The price is quoted at about $250, which seems right for a subsidized price-point.
Other features of the A800 include:
- 320ื240 pixel 262K color screen
- 53MB internal memory plus TF-R slot
- Two megapixel CCD digital camera with video recording
- Business card scanner
