The UK is looking more closely at how Crazy Frog (the wildly popular Jamster ringtone) was sold. Jamster has had problems with its sales tactics before.

Consumers who may think they are buying a single ringtone are in fact signing up for a subscription plan. Each week, they receive a new text message for which they are charged 3 pounds ($5.47), enabling them to download another ringtone.

Jamster maintains that the subscription policy is obvious and stated up front. Some consumers disagree.
