USA Today featured a review of the palmOne Treo 650 in today’s issue. Written by tech columnist Edward Baig, the review was largely positive. Mr. Baig tested a Sprint PCS branded CDMA Treo 650 unit (a GSM version will ship in 2005 for other wireless carriers).

Mr. Baig was impressed with screen, processor and Bluetooth. The tall price tag ($600 MSRP) along with not having WiFi were the major drawbacks.

Select Sprint PCS customers started getting their Treo 650s today.

At the end of the review, Baig sums up the Treo 650 by simply saying, “So very smart.”
