Nokia has introduced seven handsets, some of which are new, to each retail for under €100, for emerging markets. Some of these handsets come with two applications, specifically targeted at emerging markets, which are: Nokia Life Tolls, and, Mail On Ovi. Mail On Ovi enables you to setupyour own e-mail account, with no need to own a computer. The cheapest handset available is the 1202, retailing for €25.

Meanwhile, Nokia Life Tools is a suite, dedicated to providing information to students - educational services, and farmers - agriculture related infrmation, in rural areas, including small towns. You can read Nokia’s press release here. The handsets, and their included services, will start to ship sometime next year, firstly, in India, then, Africa, and Asia afterwards.
