Today Nokia is launching WidSets as a new service platform for finding, using, and rating widgets for mobile phones. WidSets lets users find specific content and install widgets on their phone’s desktop. The widgets can then be used to access the information without having to open a mobile browser first. Users can also create their own widgets with the WidSets tools and share their widgets with others. WidSets works on most Java-capable phones, and will be pre-installed on Nokia devices beginning in 2008. The download is free.
