Nokia’s Comes With Music Service launches in the UK

October 19th, 2008 · Source [Mobile-Review] · No Comments

Nokia 5310.jpgNokia’s Comes With Music Service has launched in the United Kingdom today. Two handsets are initially available - the Nokia 5310, priced at £129.95 (subject to £10 top-up), also available for free on a £25 a month contract and the Nokia N95 8GB, priced free on a £40 a month contract. The CWM service lets users download an ulimited number of tracks to your handset for free, for up to one year, and, the songs are yours to keep after that period.

Currently, downloads of musiccan only be done via a PC, though downloads on a user’s handset, Over The Air, may happen in the future, if a deal is struck with operators. Remember, the songs can only be played on one device - meaning your phone, as they are protected by Digital Rights Managment.

Though, if you really want, you can pay for the songs, then you can play them on other devices, but that kind of defeats Comes With Music’s purpose.
