Nokia yesterday announced a Near Field Communication (NFC) “shell”. The mobile phone accessory works with the Nokia 3220 and enables digital wallet type functions. NFC is a short range (several centimeters) wireless technology that will enable payments and ID be made via mobile phones. FeliCa is NTT DoCoMo’s NFC technology.
