Nokia’s niche Internet tablet device – the N810, has now received WIMAX functionality, for use on US-based network operator Sprint’s network. Cosmetically, and feature-wise, everything on the N810, and the WIMAX edition is the same, but the WIMAX edition will apparently ship in black, and not silver, like the original N810.
Just like the original N810, the WiMAX edition ships with a 4.13-inch touchscreen and a slide-out QWERTY-keyboard, yet it runs a new OS version - Internet Tablet OS 2008 (that builds on the Linux kernel). Other features of note include bundled GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and VGA-camera. And in case you are interested to learn more about how this device has come along - read our piece on the history of Internet Tablets.
