Nokia have announced a new addition to their E-Series line of handsets - the E63. Essentially, the E63 could be viewed as a slightly cut-down E71, what with a plastic, not metal construction, lower res camera, no built-in GPS, support for HSDPA data connectivity, no memory card in the box, though, on the flipside, it does come equipped with an LED flash (which can also be used as a flash), and a 3.5 mm jack (a first for an E-Series device.
Arguably, the most appealing aspet of the E63 is its price - at just €199, before taxes and subsidies, this makes it incredibly appealing. The E63 will be available in a choice of blue or red, and should be available, within the next few weeks.
Technical specifications go as follows:
- Display: 2.36″, QVGA resolution, shows up to sixteen million colours
- OS: Symbian S60, version 3.1
- Connectivity: Quad-band GSM, Dual-band UMTS
- Camera: 2 MP, with LED flash
- Memory: 110 MB internal, MicroSDHC expansion slot
- Extras: Wi-Fi, Nokia Maps, Bluetooth and USB 2.0, 3.5 mm jack, FM Radio with RDS
- Weight: 126 grams
- Dimensions: 113 x 59 x 13 mm
