Nokia Adds to XpressMusic Line with Three Handsets

Nokia 5730 and 5030Today Nokia announced new phones that are part of its XpressMusic line of music-focused devices. Shared features between the three include FM radios and 3.5mm headset jacks.

  • 5730: This sideways slider, which strongly resembles the recently announced Nokia E75, has a full QWERTY keyboard when open and has access to Nokia’s advanced music services, such as Say And Play, the Nokia Music Store (where supported) and many of Nokia’s Ovi services. It has quad-band GSM/EDGE radios and 900/1900/2100 tri-band WCDMA. It runs S60, has stereo Bluetooth, has a 3.2 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens and flash, aGPS, and supports microSD cards up to 16GB (it will be boxed with 8GB). It also incorporates the new contact bar for direct access to up to 20 contacts. It will be available in the third quarter for $355.
  • 5030: This basic bar phone comes in two different dual-band GSM configurations, including 850/1900. It has dedicated radio keys and a built-in radio antenna. It will be available in the second quarter for $50.
