Because you can never have a new enough phone, Nokia’s unleashed its latest offerings in the form of a sweet little pair. The 6500 Classic is a superbly slim jim (just a touch bigger than an old iPod Nano) whilst its appropriately named brother, the 6500 Slide, is a touch smaller and chubbier.

The Slide is the first mid-range Nok to sport Carl Zeiss optics fronting a 3.2-megapixel snapper and a lush 640×480 2.2-inch screen. Push email is on board and as it’s 3G, you can indulge in a bit of video calling. No, seriously! All the usual gubbins are involved too including FM radio, music player and support for a 4GB microSD card. And, for the adventurous, there’s a TV out, and built-in apps include Flickr, PictBridge and a gratis copy of Adobe Photoshop Elements for your PC so you can tweak your snaps! A nice touch.
The Classic is a little less well-appointed, which is no surprise given its Kate Moss-like slimness. The camera is a 2-megapixel job though inside you’ll find a whopping 1GB of storage, enough for about 250 tracks. Overall performance isn’t stunning, and neither is the screen, but that’s not what this little handset is all about. Sleek, slim and utterly delicious.
