The much anticipated N97 smartphone, Nokia’s big hitter for the summer, looks set to be released in 75 countries around the world. What’s more Nokia is releasing the handset in those 75 countries simultaneously! That means that it won’t just be a lucky few in select markets who get first dibs on the N97, but potentially millions across the globe. In the UK the handset goes on sale SIM free on 19th June and then a week later on 26th June it will be offered on contract by various networks and retailers. Interestingly current gossipy has itt hat O2 UK won’t be directly offering the handset, but rather using Carphone Warehouse to flog Nokia’s behemoth.
