Motorola’s third quarter 2004 results are strong thanks to brisk sales of mobile phones. The company reported a net income triple the same quarter last year. Here are the numbers:
- Net income of $479 million or 20 cents a share
- Revenue of $8.62 billion, up 26%
- Personal communications (includes mobile phones) revenue of $3.9 billion, up 34%
Motorola is expecting sales to increase a bit during the next quarter, which includes the holiday shopping season.
