Motorola announced several new handsets at the Mobile world Congress 2008 today. The new handsets include the Wi-Fi enabled MOTO Z6w that allows mobile internet access via GSM networks and Wi-Fi hotspots. The Z6w is a slider device with a 2 MP camera with video capture and up to 4GB or removable memory.
“We are proud to add our latest Wi-Fi enabled handset to our growing portfolio, delivering a compelling wireless experience to consumers anywhere they go,” said Rob Shaddock, senior vice president, feature and mass market handsets, Motorola Mobile Devices. “The new W series handsets offer both great mobile phone basics and a solid music experience, in a candy bar form factor that you can show off with pride.”
The Motorola W161 and W181 handsets are aimed at everyday users looking for low cost handsets. Both these new handsets feature FM receivers built-in that require optional headphone to use. These two handsets have a candy bar design, large displays, great battery life and office quality speaker phone.
