While Apple is busy explaining what’s so revolutionary about their new iPod range, Microsoft have rolled out an update to their own music players that are to start shipping in less than a week - on September 16th (existing Zune owners will also get a software update).
Interestingly these new Zunes can access Microsoft’s online music store, Zune Marketplace, over WI-Fi, allowing the user to get new tracks on the fly. On top of that with these players you will be able to mark and then order songs you heard on the radio, listen to audio books and play new games.
Apart from new features, Microsoft have also beefed up Zune’s storage with 16 Gb and 120 Gb hard-drive based models. Supposedly, in the US these two editions of Zune will go for 199 and 249.99 USD respectively.
