Verizon Wireless is taking orders for the LG VX9800 which will begin shipping next month. The interesting phone has a design similar to the Motorola A630–split the phone open and there is a bigger screen and QWERTY keyboard. On the outside it appears to be a candybar style phone.

The LG VX9800 has a nice set of features, including:

• Internal screen 262K Color TFT, 320 × 256 Pixels
• External screen 65K Color TFT, 160 × 128 Pixels
• EV-DO with V Cast
• Bluetooth
• 1.3 megapixel camera
• MiniSD card slot
• Music player and stereo speakers
• Hidden QWERTY keyboard

The VX9800 will begin shipping on October 1st. Verizon Wireless is charging $299.99 after $50 mail-in rebate.
