Kyocera recalls explosive batteries

January 23rd, 2004 · Source · No Comments

Back in October of 2003, we reported on a Kyocera phone that had a battery explode. A few days later it turned out to be a hoax. The plot thickens as the company today announced a recall on batteries for its 7135 series phone.

The recalled batteries have the red and white Kyocera name printed on the front and a product code ending with -05 printed on the underside. If you have one of the 140,000 defective batteries, or would like more information, call (800) 349-4478.
