Internet giant Yahoo! announced today that the company has launched a studio dedicated to creating games for mobile phones. Yahoo Games Studio currently has an agreement with Verizon Wireless and is looking to expand to other carriers.

Yahoo has been expanding its media and entertainment divisions over the past several months, including the hire of a former ABC executive and opening up new offices in Los Angeles.
