Verizon to Offer Customized Content with FlashCast

March 28th, 2007 · Source · No Comments

Verizon Wireless and Adobe have partnered to offer subscribers enhanced data services through Adobe’s FlashCast product. The technology will provide subscribers with a new way to interact with their data services by animating the user interface. The enhanced user interface will provide users with more immediate access to the information they want, such as weather, stocks, news and more through the Adobe Flash Player. The content will be constantly streamed to handsets and will be user-configurable so each person receives only the information in which they are interested. Verizon is preparing basic and premium versions of the service and is working with content providers to establish the right mix of content. The service will be rolled out in the second half of 2007.
