Verizon, T-Mobile Considering Google OS

October 30th, 2007 · Source [Wall Street Journal] · No Comments

Verizon is in talks with Google to adopt the search giant’s upcoming mobile phone platform. The company is also reported to be in partnership talks with T-Mobile USA. Although no official announcements or details have been released, most reports suggest that Google is offering an inexpensive operating system to carriers, which they can then customize and deliver to manufacturers. The Wall Street Journal expects Google to announce details by mid-November and for handsets to go on sale mid 2008.
