Though Verizon Wireless just announced its 3G EV-DO Rev. A high-speed network launch two weeks ago, it made a major stride today in covering a larger footprint of the U.S. Verizon Wireless subscribers in the entire states of: Maine, New Hampshire, New York, New Jersey and Mississippi now have access to the improved wireless network’s downlink and uplink speeds. Along with those states, Verizon Wireless also boosted the networks in the Louisville and Lexington metro areas of Kentucky; the Nashville, Knoxville, Memphis, Chattanooga, Tri-Cities, Dyersburg, Union City and Tazewell metro areas in Tennessee; as well as Omaha, Neb., Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Topeka, Kan.
