AT&T today announced that U-verse subscribers can now schedule recordings on their DVR using an AT&T phone. AT&T (Cingular) subscribers can log into a WAP site from the company’s portal to manage their recording and add new programs to the schedule. Because AT&T is offering this service as a WAP site, they expect to make it available to all U-verse regardless of what carrier they are on in the near future. Other operators offer similar features for other DVRs as applications, which limits their cross-network compatibility. AT&T’s mobile U-verse management will be free to subscribers with both U-verse TV and internet.
