T-Mobile Dash users will be able to download a free update to Windows Mobile 6 tomorrow. Users will be able to upgrade their smartphones themselves from their PC. In addition to including the improvements that Microsoft has rolled into the new operating system, T-Mobiles installation will include additional perks. The software package will include a new My Faves application, a new instant messaging application with support for AIM, Yahoo! and Windows Live, and a revised email setup application that further eases the process of getting mail from existing accounts on the smartphone. Cingular has announced it will offer Windows Mobile 6 updates for many of its device, but has not yet released any information on when they will be available.
