T-Mobile and SunCom today announced the completion of T-Mobile’s acquisition of SunCom. SunCom had 1.1 million customers in North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. T-Mobile now serves 98 of the top 100 national markets, and covers an additional 15 million Americans. The companies announced their merger agreement in September 2007 and the deal received FCC approval February 8.
