Sprint Trials NFC In San Francisco Bay Area

Sprint is looking for subscribers to participate in a beta test of NFC cashless payment. The trials, which are being held in the San Francisco Bay Area will test NFC as both payment at local Jack In The Box as well as transportation payment and ticketing on the BART. The phone will work as a pre-paid debit card at Jack In The Box and will debit from a separate account on BART. When users get below $10 on the BART account, the card will automatically charge itself back up to $45 from the user’s bank account. Users who sign up will get an NFC-enabled phone from Sprint in order to take advantage of these new service.
