Sprint and Time Warner Cable announced the first two markets for their new “Mobile Access Powered by Sprint” quad-play offering. Customers in Raleigh, N.C., and Austin, Texas, will be able to sign contracts with Time Warner Cable and receive cable TV, digital phone service, broadband Internet and wireless phone service. Time Warner Cable will supply the first three services and is offering the wireless phone service through its partnership with Sprint Nextel, which will provide the phones and wireless network. One novel part of the package is that it includes free home to mobile and mobile to home calling for customers who have both the Time Warner Digital Phone and wireless services. The packages start at $15 per month and are available immediately.
