Palm has settled a class-action lawsuit filed by owners of the Treo 600 and Treo 650. The suit contended that the 600 and 650 had certain defects, failed at unacceptable rates, and that Palm made misrepresentations about the two phones. All owners of the Treo 600 and 650 who purchased them for personal use after September 30, 2005, and experienced the same problem twice are eligible for a rebate or a free repair. Treo 600 users are entitled to a $75 rebate, and 650 users are entitled to $50. Users interested in the rebate or repair need to file by July 28.
