Motorola to leave handset market?

January 31st, 2008 · Source [Mobile-Review] · 1 Comment

Motorola may leave the handset market, said Richard Windsor, an analyst with Nomura International. Probably, the company will concentrate on becoming an “enterprise and government” company. Reportedly, the recent rumors suggest that Chinese vendors are about to acquire the company, but the deal is unlikely to be completed. Richard Windsor added if any of those vendors buy Motorola, they will hardly solve Motorola’s problems, which he believes are related to platform and software more than hardware.
