Motorola today announced that Greg Brown, chief of the company’s network and enterprise division, will assume a new role as President and COO of the company - a position that was done away with after the company reorganized in 2005. Ed Zander and the rest of Motorola are working to re-organize and revive the company after the departure of Ron Garriques to Dell and the retirement of CFO David Devonshire, announced today. They are also trying to win back Wall Street analysts, who are disappointed with the sales of new products after the success of the RAZR. In the midst of all this activity, Ed Zander has chosen to bow out of his CTIA keynote without explanation.
