Mio Technology and Qualcomm have teamed up to design personal navigators with communication capabilities. The devices will be based on Qualcomm QST1100 chipsets. This solution involves an application processor, a GPS-module and cell network support. The new generation navigators will become convenient and useful solutions: in addition to GPS-functionality they provide (via the Internet) real time search of content useful in traveling and so on. The QST1100 chipsets support gpsONE (Assisted-GPS included) and feature compact size, making them good base for small and slim devices.
