Today LG Electronics and DivX announced they signed an agreement, under which a new 5-megapixel camera phone LG Viewty (KU990) will be capable to play DivX video.
Now all LG Viewty handsets to be shipped from mid October on will have “DivX Certified” logo. That is these devices will be compatible with a most popular video format, so users won’t have to convert video when recording it to the phone.

When on earth are LG going to get an english speaking marketing bod to think up some model names that don’t sound like childrens toys?
This is a decent touchscreen phone with a 5.0 megapixel camera, not the next etch-a-sketch.
