LG Updates the Chocolate for Verizon

July 5th, 2007 · Source · No Comments

LG announced a new version of the Chocolate today. Like the original, the Chocolate VX8550 is a music-centric phone that plays MP3s and WMAs. The new version has a new keypad that provides micro vibration feedback (haptics) and an upgraded navigation wheel. The wheel has what Verizon is calling trace motion light, that appears when you move your finger around the wheel. Other upgrades include a boost in the camera from 1 Megapixel to 1.3 Megapixels, microSD support for up to 4 GB and a slightly slimmer profile. The new Chocolate carries over stereo Bluetooth and EV-DO data capabilities. It will come in three colors (black, black cherry, blue mint) and will be available starting July 9th for $99.99 after rebates.
