i-mate announce Ultimate 6150 and 8150 communicators

i-mate has made two announcements of its Ultimate 6150 and Ultimate 8150 communicators. Both devices are powered by Windows Mobile 6, support 3G networks and have 2.8” (2.6” for the 8150) touchscreen VGA-displays. In addition the Ultimate 8150 comes with a keyboard.

The Ultimate 6150 and 8150 measure 118.5×60.5×15.5 mm and weigh 152 g with the battery. They work on XScale PXA 270 520 MHz processor. The gamers will enjoy NVIDIA GoForce 5500 graphical accelerator. There is also an infrared port and USB connection with charging function.

The technical specs of the new communicators are almost identical and are as follows:

  • Microsoft Windows Mobile 6 Professional;
  • WCDMA/HSDPA: 850/1900/2100 MHz;
  • Quad-band GSM, GPRS/EDGE support;
  • Wi-Fi, Bluetooth;
  • 256 MB ROM, 128 MB RAM;
  • MicroSD slot;
  • 2-megapixel camera with auto focus and flash, frontal camera for video telephony;
  • 2.8″(2.6″) VGA LCD;
  • FM-radio;
  • TV-out.
