The Touch, announced by HTC today, is a Windows Mobile 6 smartphone that uses a new 3D user interface called TouchFLO. The new touchscreen technology allows users to interact with the screen by sweeping their fingers or stylus across the screen. From the homescreen users will find one-touch access to applications such as email and text messages. The screen will be able to differentiate between a finger or stylus. The screen measures 2.8 inches with 240 by 320 resolution. The Touch is a tri-band 900/1800/1900 GSM/EDGE device and also includes Bluetooth 2.0, Wi-Fi, a 2 megapixel camera and a microSD slot. It comes in black or lime green and will be available in North America in the second half of 2007.
