Google recently posted an application for S60 devices to its mobile products page. The new software, which must be downloaded and installed, places a shortcut to a Google search box on the home screen of S60 phones that have a Control or Pencil/Edit key, such as the N95. You can type Internet search queries into the search box and it automatically connects to the Internet, performs the search and displays the results. The software is available immediately and is free. This is separate from the announcement made by Google and Nokia at Mobile World Congress that Nokia’s native search application will begin using Google software.
