September 3rd, 2008 · Source [Gsmarena] · No Comments

AndroidGoogle have announced the winners of its latest Android Developer Competition, which is intended to encourage the development for its upcoming mobile phone OS - Android. Of the fifty entrants to reach the finals, ten of those received the nice sum of $275,000, and a further ten received $100,000. Most of the applications that made it into the finals focused on location-based services, which is hardly surprising. An example of this, is one application, aptly named as Locale, switches devise settings, by itself, depending on where you are (somewhere else in the country, or another country altogether).
