Google started to evangelise their mobile phone platform Android to developers with so called Android Code Days. Lance Davis from The Register has published a report detailing what Google has released so far about Android.

The mantra for Android is that it’s “a complete and modern embedded OS, with a cutting edge mobile user experience, a world class software stack for building apps and open platform for developers users and industry”.

The first Android devices are still planned to ship the second half of this year. Also the Android Developer challenge has been extende to 14th of April.
